Here are some examples of the shapes we are working with. In order to find the surface area of each 3D shape, students must find the 2D shapes that it is composed of. For example, the triangular prism is composed of 2 identical triangles, a bottom, side, and a top. Each one of the sides will have unique dimensions. Once the area is found for each one of the sides, add the areas together to find the total!
